Absract. The article examines, analyzes, and compares the habits, preferences, and attitudes towards reading among Bulgarian children living abroad, in comparison with their peers in Bulgaria. The text analyzes the preferred types of literature, literary genres, attitudes towards different reading formats (audio, digital, print), tendencies for multitasking while reading, and more. The study is based on the results of a large-scale online sociological survey conducted in Bulgaria and
among Bulgarian communities abroad.
