Absract. The article presents the results of a research on students’ engagement to study with the use of smart technologies in education. The purpose of the research is to study four components of engagement: cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and social. A questionnaire constructed for the purposes of the study was administered, covering the four components of engagement. The results show correlations between the components of engagement and their individual aspects, as well as a positive association of all components of engagement with the general scale of engagement to study with the use of smart technologies. The significance of the findings as well as the limitations of the study are discussed. In conclusion, engagement to study via smart technologies can be observed in cognitive, behavioral, emotional and social
terms, and these aspects of the construct are positively related to each other.
